The Pain I’ve Caused Lives

my head with the light and blinding sound ... the only friends it has as they begin to pound • from the inside of the skull that keeps them here ... my head now says the things that no one wants to hear

my heads reminds me of the summer no one spent ... i can’t break the will that left a trust unspent • i’ve left to children what i’ve yet to see ... no one i look to will take no time see

my head won’t let me finish what i’ve left undone ... no one will read this no one race all that i run • no one will need any skill that i have lost ... no one will say what price i must pay for what i’ve lost

my brain gets larger while the head it’s in stays bound ... to the heart it’s always lost til it needs be found • my head felt invincible my heart thought it won’t die ... when my head starts to hurt it’s too weak to even cry

no one will ever know read or see ... the pain i feel inside the only head given me • and so the heart will ever know again how to feel sure ... for it’s only thru the heart that can guide me to the cure
