a man asked God for a Love true • and set his path so he could find you • on the shoulders over waters frozen • to deliver you safe for your chosen • sentenced to the same freeze you’ve been spared • unanswered as if he was never there
a woman shed the tears denied her as a girl • given her best to the universe by being fair to the world • only her children looked forward to each tomorrow • her time never comes and she burst at the seams in sorrow
only joy and the world would I share • only in knowing I know someone would be there • young at heart but wise • he makes everyone laugh but never lies • with talent undiscovered • a gambler with all his debts covered • always the center of attention • only seeks and adores my affection
and God knew what she meant well • over time only Love can never tell • it’s easy to spot those who can Love you better
but only you knows who Loves you more
