helicopters & man-free drones … laughing at demilitarized zones … war to the south fighting over the east … feeding defense is starving the peace
is prayer enough
will the enemy call our hardware bluff
artillery dance without fire to cease … the backbeat of the south artillery feast … the steelworks plant needs water and care … Iskander launchers sing without a care
by the sea bombshells explode as they prey … wishing the peaceful would just go away
an Easter cease fire would only intrude … the anniversary of heaven would just seem to be rude
prisoner swaps and bunnies who lay eggs … what kosacks ask, Luhansk begs … soldiers indifference and civilian relief … fear of penance subsides no one’s blue grief
prayer won’t be enough
from the children of those with the right stuff
five million refugees … weak from begging while they’re in their knees … see them for what we are … behind them their homeland much too far
